The Agriculture and Processed Foods Export Promotion Scheme by the Government of India aims to increase the export of agricultural and processed food products. During the 15th Finance Commission Cycle, APEDA has adopted an ambitious plan to improve India’s agricultural exports. The government is doing a lot to improve the situation of farmers and the central government has already launched many programs to help farmers.
The Agriculture and Processed Foods Export Promotion Scheme is aimed at improving the export competitiveness of a wide range of agricultural and processed foods. APEDA is an export promotion agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry for the promotion of agricultural and processed food products.
This govt scheme has been opened and implemented for the period 2021-22 to 2025-26. It offers financial assistance, develops export infrastructure and transport processes, and funds initiatives to enhance the quality of Indian agricultural products. The scheme strives to discover new markets for Indian products.
APEDA’s plan is intended to offer financial help, build export infrastructure, improve item quality, and search for new markets for Indian agricultural products.
Money help is given to exporters, farmers, maker associations, and other partners included in exporting agricultural and handled food items. This helps limit structure, quality improvement, and foundation advancement.
One of the essential destinations of the plan is to build up a fair foundation, for example, a cold house, bundling unit and transportation administration. By contributing to a cutting-edge foundation, APEDA expects to streamline the fare process and guarantee the nature of agricultural products all through the graceful chain.
To gain access to world markets, it is essential to achieve quality standards. The APEDA program includes projects that improve the quality of agricultural products by promoting coaching programs, certification methods and the implementation of best practices in agriculture and processing.
Expanding the market and identifying untapped export areas are key elements of the strategy. The APEDA program promotes market exploration, participation in trade exhibitions and trade events, and promotional activities that showcase Indian agricultural products on the international stage.
