LPG Cylinders Delivery Under 48 Hours In Odisha!

LPG cylinders are very important for households since most of the cooking process takes place using stoves run on gas cylinders only. Highlighting such importance and to fasten and facilitate the process of delivery, the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister of Odisha, Krushna Chandra Patra directed the LPG dealers and distributors to supply LPG cylinders within 48 hours of booking.
The directions were issued to the stakeholders after important discussions were held in a meeting with LPG, petrol and diesel distributors in Bhubaneswar recently. The Minister directed the suppliers to provide the cylinder in 48 hours or else face action.
Addressing everyone, the Minister said “We had a meeting with the officials of the companies, dealers and representatives today. There is a provision to deliver LPG cylinders in 48 hours of booking. The dealers have been directed to ensure this or else action would be taken against them,”.
Recognising the importance of consumer welfare and LPG provision, the Minister asked the officials and suppliers of petrol and diesel to focus on three key elements; quality, quantity and behaviour. To avoid adulteration and violation of rules, the Minister said that regular inspections of petrol pumps will be done.
