IRCTC Autopay is an option for payments on the website and in the application, developed by IRCTC itself as the iPay payment system. In the case of Tatkal tickets on the waitlist, passengers are charged only when the ticket does not get confirmed once the chart is prepared. If a ticket is cancelled, all the remaining amount is refunded.

Follow these steps to activate IRCTC auto-pay or to add money to your IRCTC e-wallet:
Step 1: Log into your IRCTC account and visit the ‘Profile’ page. Step 2: Select a bank account or card and set the daily or monthly payment limit. Step 3: Tag the account to the profile after OTP validation.
Step 4: Visit the ‘Book Ticket’ page and select Train as usual.
Step 5: Review travel details and submit a booking request. Step 6: The fare gets automatically debited from the linked account.
