• Institutes offering programming and technical skills in Goa can get an internet subsidy of up to ₹5,00,000 per year for two years.

• They can also receive a power subsidy of up to ₹1,00,000 per year for two years.

• Institutes can get 25% reimbursement on capital investments, up to ₹5,00,000, for two years.

• A 10% salary cost subsidy is available, up to ₹3,00,000, for two years.

• Institutes can also get a 25% reimbursement on capital investments and a 10% salary cost subsidy.

• Total benefits can’t exceed ₹10,00,000 per year.

• Benefits are given based on performance and can be taken quarterly, bi-annually, or annually.

What Is A Retail Educational Institute?

A retail educational institute specialises in education, more specific subjects within the retail arts. Goa is home to one such school that was registered under the Start-up Promotion Cell (SPC). Such institutes offer training in programming and technical skills and are eligible for subsidy benefits and assistance under the Skill Development Promotion Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

The institutes, which are aspiring for the Skill Development Promotion Scheme, are required to fulfil certain conditions. These are in place so that only a genuine and qualified applicant makes use of the scheme. The main eligibility criteria are:

• Be listed by the Start-up Promotion Cell (SPC).
