Awareness is the first step towards combating any kind of prevalent social issues, and that’s why the state government of Assam launched a scheme called the Awareness Programme on Child/Human Trafficking, Family Planning, Legal Awareness, Health, etc. This scheme is especially for the tea tribal and other Adivasi communities, as the main aim of the scheme is to educate such tribal communities about various prevalent social issues of today’s world.
The tribal communities need to be aware of social issues, like child/human trafficking, family planning, legal awareness, and health issues, such as the reduction of Maternal Mortality Rate, Infant Mortality Rate, alcoholism, etc., so that they can know their rights and exercise them whenever someone tries to exploit them through any means.

The state government of Assam’s Awareness Programme on Child/Human Trafficking, Family Planning, Legal Awareness, Health, etc. scheme is a testament to the government’s inclusive focus on all the communities residing in the state. It is significant to remain aware and alert about the various current world social issues, primarily for one's safety.
The government recognises the fact that there are innumerable communities, like the tribes who are away from the modern world and hence don’t know about the complex social issues. This is also the primary reason why they often get exploited by people, and that paves the way for this state govt scheme.
