The Mukhyamantri Shramshakti Yojana is a welfare scheme launched by the Minority Welfare Department under the state govt of Bihar. Under the scheme, free vocational and skill training programs are organised for people from minority communities so that they can learn new skills and secure job opportunities using those newly learned skills.

Individuals are required to comply with all the eligibility criteria to apply for the state govt scheme. The Shramshakti Yojana eligibility criteria are as follows:
Applicants should be residents of the state of Bihar.
Applicants should be a part of any minority community living in the state.
The age of the applicants should be between the range of 18 to 45 years.
Annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 4,50,000.
Some points to note before applying for the scheme are as follows:
The minimum educational qualification for most of the training programs is class 8th or 10th. This is determined by the Bihar State Minorities Financial Corporation Limited based on the requirements of the training program.
30% seats are reserved for women, and 3% seats are reserved for people with disabilities. If, in case, the reserved seats are not taken by the reserved people, then those seats will be opened for other minority categories.
The application process for this state govt scheme can be done through both online and offline platforms, as per one’s convenience, preference, and ease. Both processes are written below in a detailed stepwise manner for one’s clarity.
Step 1: Please visit the official website of the Bihar State Minorities Financial Corporation.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Apply for Skill Training’ option on the home page, which will take you to a page where the option of ‘Click here to Apply’ will be available.
Step 3: Begin by registering yourself in the portal using your personal information and setting up a password.
Step 4: Post registration, log in to the portal using your credentials.
Step 5: Fill in your personal details, education-related details, and training-related details.
Step 6: Upload the scanned copies of all the required documents, including the photograph and signature. Recheck the filled information and then click on ‘submit’.
Step 1: The announcement of the opening of applications for this scheme is rolled out through advertisements in newspapers, so keep an eye on the papers.
Step 2: Eligible and interested applicants can begin the process by filling out the application form carefully and accurately.
Step 3: Attach the copies of all the required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 4: Recheck the filled information in the form and the order of attached documents, and then submit it all to the District Minority Welfare Office of your district.
The decision concerning the selection of applicants under various training programs is made by the Bihar State Minorities Financial Corporation. If there are more applicants than the available seats, the preference will be given to those with higher educational qualifications or age. Post finalising the selection of applicants, the final list of approved applicants will be sent to the concerned district authorities, who will then move forward with the next steps of the training program.
Please ensure that after selection, all the selected applicants are required to submit a security deposit worth Rs. 1000, which is refundable after the completion of the training program.
Selected candidates are responsible for arranging their own food and accommodation. If these facilities are available at the institute, then the authority of the scheme will take care of the expenses on behalf of the candidate. If, however, not available, an extra stipend worth Rs. 1500 per month will be given to the candidates till the training period is over.
