The Finance Minister of India, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, announced the Union Budget for the year 2025 on the 1st of February. The budget comprises various schemes concerning various sectors like agriculture, Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and industry.

List Of Government Schemes In 2025

All the government schemes 2025 that have been included in the Union Budget are listed below in detail for one’s better understanding and reference.

1. PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana

The government of India has launched the PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana in collaboration with the Aspirational Districts Programme. The program covers around 100 districts across India, intending to help around 1.7 crore farmers. The district should have low productivity, moderate crop intensity, and below-average credit parameters through specially tailored measures.

The govt scheme aims to increase agricultural productivity, train farmers in practising sustainable farming practices, and improve the conditions of basic farming facilities.

2. Rural Prosperity & Resilience Programme

One of Modi new scheme 2025 is the Rural Prosperity & Resilience Program to upgrade the conditions and quality of infrastructure and facilities in rural parts of the country. The primary aim of the program is to improve the living conditions of young farmers, rural women, marginal and small farmers, youth, and landless farmers residing in rural India by creating more employment opportunities, introducing new technology, etc.

3. Aatmanirbharta

One of the budget 2025 schemes is the National Mission for Edible Oilseed will be introduced to achieve Aatmanirbharta in edible oils. The authorities are especially focused on achieving ‘Aatmanirbharta in Pulses’ like Urad, Tur, and Masoor. Major agencies like NAFED and NCCF are authorised to collect the pulses from those farmers who register for the program for 4 years.

3. First-Time Entrepreneurs

The Indian government is planning to launch a special scheme as a Modi new scheme 2025
for around 5 lakh women from the communities of SCs/STs, wherein they’ll be provided with a loan of up to Rs. 2 crore for 5 years.

4. Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0

Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0 will be introduced by the government under this year’s budget to provide nutritious food to around 8 crore children, 1 crore lactating mothers and pregnant women across the nation, and 20 lakh adolescent girls in North-Eastern regions and aspirational districts.

5. Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak Scheme

The authorities are planning to launch a new scheme called the Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak Scheme, which is another one of the budget 2025 schemes. The scheme aims to provide books in Indian languages in digital form.

6. Online Measures For Workers Of The Scheme

Workers working for the smooth implementation of various schemes will now be given access to digital platforms designed for them so that they can work easily and conveniently.

7. SWAMIH Fund 2

A Special Window for Affordable and Mid-Income Housing (SWAMIH) Fund 2 will be launched under this year’s Union Budget. The total fund allocated for the same is around 15 crore rupees to establish 1 lakh housing units. The SWAMIH Fund will work in partnership with banks and investors and help middle-class families as well in paying their loan EMIs.

What Are The Changes Introduced In The Existing Schemes?

As per the Union Budget of 2025, there are some changes introduced in the old government schemes. All those changes are laid down below:

1. Definition Of MSME

The definition of MSME has been modified based on the limit of investments in each category. The redefined categories are listed below in tabular format:

The Credit Guarantee Fund has also been changed. The new changes are as follows:

  • For Micro and Small Enterprises: The credit fund has been increased from 5 crore to 10 crore, with an additional credit of 1.5 lakh crore in the last 5 years.

  • For Startups: The limit has been raised from 10 crore to 20 crore.

  • For well-run exporters MSMEs: Loans of up to Rs. 20 crore.

2. Atal Tinkering Labs

The Indian government is planning to establish around 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs in government schools in the upcoming 5 years so that students can optimally use it for their holistic growth and development.

3. PM SVANidhi

PM SVANidhi will now work in collaboration with extra beneficial loans from banks and UPI-linked credit cards with a limit of Rs. 30,000.

4. Jal Jeevan Mission

The Jal Jeevan Mission was initially launched to operate till the year 2019, but it has now been extended till the year 2028. This extension has been done to install piped water facilities in rural areas through the Jan Bhagidari scheme.

5. UDAN

UDAN is a government scheme launched for reducing the time of air travel, which is being done by establishing 88 airports and 619 operationalised routes till now. The authorities are planning to introduce a modified UDAN scheme to enhance regional connectivity by making travel links to 120 new destinations and allowing around 4 crore passengers in the next 10 years.

6. PM Gati Shakti

The PM Gati Shakti portal will now help the private sector in project planning by giving them access to relevant data and maps. The authorities are also planning to launch a National Geospatial Mission as an added aid.

7. Growing Tourism By Generating Employment

The government of India is also planning to speed up the growth of the tourism sector through various measures such as skill development programs, providing Mudra loans for homestays, enhanced connectivity between one location to another, easy applications for visas, etc.
