1. New UPI Rules 2025

In a month, India processes over 12 billion UPI transactions in a month. The system used for UPI transactions is constantly in use by millions of people every second of every hour. Hence, it is crucial for the governing body. i.e., National Payments Corporation of India to work upon making the system better and quicker to avoid any inconvenience in payments.

All the new UPI rules are laid out below in detail for one’s better understanding and reference:

• All the auto-payments will be processed between the hours of 1-5 pm or after 9:30 pm.

• People can only view their linked bank accounts with UPI 25 times a day.

• The number of times an individual can check the status of pending transactions has been limited to 3 times a day, and there should be a gap of at least 90 seconds after each attempt.

• Before a user makes a payment, the name and transaction ID of the recipient will be displayed so that the user can check them before making the transaction. This will help people avoid making payments to incorrect or fraudulent bank accounts.
