What Is The Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme?

The state government of Assam launched the Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme (MMNM) in the year 2024. It is a financial assistance scheme specially designed for female students residing in the state. The word ‘Nijut Moina’ literally translates to ‘one million girls’, which represents the scheme’s mission to provide support to at least 70 million meritorious female students so that they can build their careers in their chosen fields.

  • As the approved beneficiary reaches the second year, the heads of educational institutions are required to provide a certificate stating that the student will be availing of the benefits of the Sarkari Yojana for the following years.

Is MMNM Mandatory For All Eligible Students?

No, the Assam Nijut Moina Scheme is not mandatory or compulsory for all eligible students. Whoever is eligible and interested can apply for the scheme and avail its benefits.
