What Is The SEBI Young Professional Program?
The India Securities and Exchange Board (SEBI) Young Professional Program is intended to provide young talented people with Indian securities markets practical experience. The initiative covers two major areas: Security Market Operations (SMO) and Information Technology (IT).
Eligibility Conditions For SEBI YPP 2024
For a person to become eligible for the SEBI Young Professional Program 2024, several eligibility conditions must be fulfilled:

Age and Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India and not more than thirty years old when applying.

General Skills Required: They include but are not limited to; financial market knowledge, analytics skills, IT tool-knowledge, research aptitude, communication ability and sound judgement.

Domain Specific Qualifications

For Securities Market Operations: At least one year of relevant experience is required for a postgraduate degree in any finance-related course or professional qualifications, such as CA/CS/CFA.

For Information Technology: The minimum qualification requirement entails a B.E. /B.Tech degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics or any other related field along with at least 1-year experience in software development/cyber security.

Application procedures for SEBI Young Professional Program 2024 are simple. Here is how you can apply:

Selection Process
The selection procedure for SEBI YPP 2024 is rigorous and competitive. It is inclusive of:

Application Screening: SEBI will scrutinise the applications based on various parameters such as academic qualifications, professional experience and overall profile.

Preliminary Interview: It will hold a preliminary interview with shortlisted candidates virtually.

Final Interview: Those who succeed at the preliminary stage will have to go through a final interview virtually as well.

Stipend and Benefits
Those chosen under the SEBI Young Professional Program shall receive INR 70,000 per month. Moreover, those who are not based in Mumbai might be eligible for shared accommodation (subject to availability). Official duty travel allowances are also included among other facilities.
Program Duration and Extension
The SEBI YPP 2024 has an initial engagement tenure of one year but can be extended for another two years based on reviews and the organisation’s needs. However, the extension should not exceed three years in total.
