UIDAI has made updating your Aadhaar details online as simple as possible, but there are still lots of details to be careful about to avoid a rejection, so follow this step-by-step guide to give you the best chance at a smooth update process that is accurate and gets processed successfully.
Step 1: Visit the myAadhaar Portal.
Step 2: Hit the 'Login' button and enter your Aadhaar number, followed by the captcha code. You will receive an OTP on the mobile number you registered with.
Step 3: Following login, you should select 'Document Update' on the dashboard menu.
Step 4: Choose from the documents you want to complete of proof of identity or proof of address (PoI or PoA), upload the required scanned copies, and each file must be less than 2 MB.
Step 5: Check the documents that were uploaded and make your request. The system will give you an SRN, which you can use to check the progress of your update.
Note: This online facility is only for changing your demographic data. A trip to your nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre is required for any updates using your fingerprint, photo or iris scan.
