The Faral Sakhi initiative came into life from the partnership of the Women Entrepreneurship Platforms with the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC). The govt initiative aims to boost the businesses of women who are engaged in the work of traditional snack production like Faral in the city of Mira Bhayandar, Maharashtra*.* The Faral Sakhi initiative is introduced with just one primary objective and that is to increase the production and sales of traditional snacks.

• Technical training: Around 25 women will be selected from Mira Bhayandar for technical training in business operations under the Centre for Education, Governance and Public Policy (CEGP).

• Transition: The govt initiative aims to help women entrepreneurs develop their small businesses and eventually turn them into large-scale businesses.
