Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced essential policy measures including women empowerment initiatives, infrastructure development, and youth engagement for the state of Arunachal Pradesh. In the last outdoor cabinet meeting, the government also passed towards building better taxation land policies and enhanced monetary support for young girls, alongside a constructive plan for youth development.
The socio-economic growth of Arunachal Pradesh is also being supplemented conclusively through the new Dulari Kanya Scheme and the prowess behind the newly inaugurated Arunachal Pradesh Mission Olympics.

Arunachal Pradesh is working on some important policy changes that will address growth and development in the state. It includes Women and Youth Empowerment schemes, as well as Governance and Infrastructure initiatives. The Dulari Kanya Scheme has been modified to provide more financial help for girl children:
Fixed deposit at birth increased from ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 (maturity at 18 years).
DBT Funds of Rupees 20,000 are now added to Class XI admission.
The total benefit now per girl child is Rupees 50,000.
Arunachal Pradesh is concentrating on its youth to ensure a successful future. The state has designed initiatives to assist the youth in sports, entrepreneurship, and skill development. This includes policies like the Arunachal Pradesh Youth Policy and Mission Olympics.
The policy’s major thrust is on entrepreneurship development, sports, and skill development.
Mission Olympics intends to give high-level training to badminton, taekwondo, weightlifting, and wushu athletes as per the Olympic vision of India.
The state calendar now includes state-level competitions for table tennis and tug of war.
Arunachal Pradesh is attempting to enhance its governance and future planning efforts. One of the new institutes being set up in the state would enable the formulation of better policies through research and expert opinion, which will aid growth and development in the long run.
ITA will be the top policy think tank in Arunachal, providing research-guided policies for Economic & Social reforms.
It will be hosted under the umbrella of the Department of Finance, Planning and Investment and integrate state plans with the Niti Aayog Vision 2047.
Arunachal Pradesh is undergoing rapid developments in its infrastructure and governance. Currently, the state is initiating new tax reforms while also developing existing ones. These measures will enhance compliance as well as the speed of resolving disputes.
The Arunachal Pradesh GST Amendment Bill 2025 aims to improve compliance with tax obligations under the GST framework regarding our state’s tax.
To tackle land encroachment, it was mandated that the Deputy Commissioners be given appellate powers to deal with quarrels in a more time-efficient manner.

Arunachal Pradesh is expanding emergency services for enhanced people’s safety and support. With the construction of new fire stations and child helplines, response and aid in critical situations will be served faster. Such measures will also increase the rate of employment in the state.
In addition, five more fire stations will be opened in Raga, Yupia, Boleng, Lemmi, and Tato, which will add 90 jobs to the market.
Two hundred seventy-seven posts were approved for the support of Mission Vatsalya Scheme Child helpline services.
Steps are in motion towards the empowerment of weavers and artisans in Arunachal Pradesh. New initiatives are and will be put in place to ensure better recognition and provision of financial support. These efforts will contribute greatly towards the sustenance of traditional crafts and the improvement of livelihoods.
Support programs are better streamlined with a digital database of weavers and artisans.
The first prize for the best craftsmanship award has been increased from 75,000 to 1,00,000, while the second prize has seen an increase to 75000.
The most recent decisions made by the Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet aim to help women, the youth, infrastructure, and governance. From the financial assistance to girls under the Dulari Kanya Scheme to the Mission Olympics program, all these initiatives are targeted towards changing the socio-economic profile of the state.
