NSP Pragati Scholarship Scheme is a government scheme, run by AICTE, to provide financial assistance to talented girl students for technical education. Coverage comprises college fees, buying books, equipment, software, laptops, etc., cetera.
Applicable during the whole length of the diploma or degree programme.
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) makes sure that the amount of scholarship is deposited directly into the beneficiary’s bank account.

What Are The Eligibility Criteria Of The Pragati Scholarship Scheme?

To ensure transparency and fairness in grant provisions, a set of criteria has been established for applicants. These eligibility conditions are meant to target the candidates who are most deserving and would benefit the most from the scholarship scheme.

Only female students can fill out the application forms.
The applicants should get admission in the first year of a diploma or degree course or the second year through a lateral entry in AICTE-approved institutes.
The annual income of the family should not be more than ₹8,00,000.
They are allowed to have a maximum of two girl children who can benefit from the scholarship.
Students who manage to enrol through the management quota are ineligible.

List Of Documents Required For The Pragati Scholarship Scheme

Students are required to submit specific official documents to verify their information from the application. These documents will assist in the verification process and ensure that only eligible candidates will be awarded the scholarship.

Class 10 and 12 mark sheets.
Aadhaar Card.
Passport-size photograph.
Signature of the applicant.
An income certificate from a competent authority.
Admission letter from the Centralised Admission Authority.
Receipt of paid tuition fee.
Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook.
Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/HOD.

Pragati Scholarship – Rewards

The scheme allows financial assistance to students, which is a fixed monetary amount payable to qualified beneficiaries. The financial support is meant to be used for education-related expenses and support for student education during the course.

₹50,000 yearly for every year of study.

Pragati Scholarship – Terms and Conditions

To have a successful implementation of the scheme and to curb the misuse of funds, a few terms and conditions were put in place. These regulations are meant to guide the implementation process and stipulate the following:

The scholarship is tenable throughout the course, provided that the candidate maintains satisfactory academic performance.
The amount of the scholarship is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
In case the applicant gives any false information, the scholarship money is to be recovered.
The scholarship is not for students who are admitted under the management quota.
Applicants should have a general savings bank account.

What Is The Selection Process Of The Pragati Scholarship Scheme?

The whole selection process is structured based on merit and reservations. It is aimed to be open, fair & by the inclusivity policies of the Government. The reservation status follows the norms of the Government of India:
