The government of Telangana under the administration of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is determined to provide monetary aid to farmers and landless workers under Rythu Bharosa and Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa schemes by the goal date of March 31, 2025. At the launch of four schemes in Chandravancha village in the Kodangal constituency, the Chief Minister spoke about the allocation of the budget saying, ‘we have earmarked ₹10,000 crores for Rythu Bharosa while ₹6,000 will be allocated to ten lakh families under Atmeeya Bharosa.’
During the event, the Chief Minister of Andra Pradesh launched new development programs that are aimed at improving the lives of farmers and the underprivileged. Giving these people financial assistance, housing and other essentials are the focus of the initiatives. The schemes launched are:
Rythu Bharosa Scheme: Provide financial aid to eligible farmers with arable land.
Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa Scheme: Sustenance amount for landless agricultural workers.
Ration Card Distribution: Issuing of ration cards to 40 Lakh families for subsidised rice.
Indiramma Indlu Housing Programme: Construction of 4.5 lakh houses for weaker sections at a cost of ₹22,500 crore.
The government has formulated newer schemes to assist farmers and landless agricultural labourers. These programs seek to empower them financially and enhance their earnings. The specifics of the schemes are:
The Rythu Bharosa Scheme will provide cash assistance to every eligible farmer with active cultivated land.
The Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa Scheme provides landless farm labourers with direct account deposits to the sum of 6000 as sustenance support.
The Telangana leadership has worked towards the upliftment of its people. Many welfare programs such as those aimed at farmers, women, and needy families have gained momentum in the last year. Notable initiatives are as follows:
Crop Loan Waiver: Loans totalling ₹21,000 crore have been written off for 22.50 lakh farmers.
Free Electricity: Eligible households are provided with up to 200 units of electricity free of charge.
LPG Subsidy: Eligible households receive a subsidy of ₹500 per cylinder.
Free Bus Travel for Women: Women are the primary beneficiaries and are provided with this service at a cost of ₹4,000 crore budget.
The Telangana government works to support rural and disadvantaged groups. Its schemes focus on housing, food security, and financial help. These programs aim to improve living conditions for the poor, ensure food security, and support farmers and labourers in the state.
Rythu Bharosa, Atmeeya Bharosa and Indiramma Indulu housing are welfare schemes for farmers, labourers, and the economically feasible sections of Telangana launched by the government to empower them. The government has an aim to build a more sustainable future for its citizens which fosters growth and social equity across the state.
