The Kushal Yuva Program (KYP) stands out as an innovative training program conducted under the Bihar Skill Development Mission. Strengthening oral communication in English and Hindi.

All students on the Self Help Allowance (SHA) scheme are automatically registered in this program, and it is administered in every district of Bihar.
The Kushal Yuva Program (KYP) is a government scheme in Bihar that helps young people learn basic skills needed for jobs. It focuses on training, easy access, and good quality education so that more youth can find employment opportunities.
Setting up Skill Development Centres (SDCs) in all the 534 blocks of Bihar.
Creating a cadre of certified trainers through a National Level Online Examination (OnCET).
Creating a network of SDCs that all the youth can access conveniently.
Undertaking awareness campaigns at the state level to mobilise youth concerning the program.
Establishing District Registration cum Counselling Centres (DRCCs) for assistance to the applicants.

Detailed Syllabus: Communicative skills, life skills, and computer literacy comprise a 240-hour program.
E-learning Mode: Training is provided via a learning management system.
Certified Trainers: All trainers are required to take OnCET before instructing.
Mandatory for SHA Beneficiaries: A final instalment of ₹5,000 Self-Help Allowance will be issued only after graduating from the program. Self-Help Allowance recipients aged 20-25 are eligible to take the course.

Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing in English & Hindi.
Constructing sentences while using correct grammar and pronunciation.
Non-verbal communication skills.
Windows 7 and MS Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
Internet Browsing and Google Applications.
Open Office Applications (Writer, Impress, Calc).
Self-awareness and Personal growth
Interpersonal relations management and communication.
Professional and ethical behaviour.

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal: Go to nishchay Portal.
Step 2: Register: Fill in the required details and create an account.
Step 3: Login: Use the provided username and password.
Step 4: Fill Personal Information: Enter educational details and documents.
Step 5: Select KYP Course: Choose the ‘Kushal Yuva Program’ and apply.
Step 6: Download Acknowledgement: Save the confirmation PDF.
Step 7: Document Submission at DRCC: Submit the hard copy to your nearest District Registration cum Counselling Centre (DRCC).
