The state government of Delhi launched the Old Age Pension Scheme to provide monetary support to the senior citizens residing in the state. The state has recently announced an online platform through which people can apply to register themselves for the state govt scheme from the comfort of their homes.
Around 5.3 lakh people would benefit from this Sarkari Yojana and lead financially independent lives in their old age.

Interested individuals first need to ensure whether they fit the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for the Old Age Pension Scheme are as follows:
Applicants must be above the age of 60 years.
Applicants must have lived in Delhi for at least 5 years.
Annual income shouldn’t be more than Rs. 1,00,000 per annum.
Applicant’s Aadhaar should be linked with their respective bank accounts.

Step 1: Please visit the official website of the e-District Delhi Portal.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ option.
Step 3: Select the document type, fill in the ID number, and click on ‘Continue’.
Step 4: Log in to your account using the access code sent to your mobile number.
Step 5: Select the ‘Apply online’ option.
Step 6: Select ‘Services’ and click ‘Department of Social Welfare’ from the list of departments.
