What Is Dalit Bandhu Scheme?

The Telangana government's Dalit Bandhu Scheme provides Dalit families with a ₹10 lakh incentive to launch enterprises or engage in other entrepreneurial endeavors. The government program promotes sustainable livelihoods and financial independence within the Dalit population with the goal of social & economic empowerment.

Dalit Bandhu Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a resident of Telangana belonging to the SC community.

• The applicant's family income should be less than 2.5 Lakhs, owning less than 3 acres of land and less than one residential house.

• The applicant shouldn’t currently be availing any other govt welfare scheme.

• The applicant must have a bank account and an Aadhaar Card.

• The applicant must be between the ages of 25 -50 and must have at least passed Class 10th.

• The applicant must have a good business idea and enough funds for 10% of the project.

• The applicant should not have a criminal record.

Exclusions

• The applicant with a graduate of a professional degree like engineering or medicine.

• Caste certificates are not used to assess eligibility for the program; rather, a thorough survey will be used to ascertain the social & economic circumstances of the households.

Application Process

Applying for the Dalit Bandhu Scheme is very easy as it is very accessible and only requires a few simple steps on the part of the applicant. The process is as follows:

Step 1: Log on to the official website for this govt scheme.

Step 2: If this is your first time, create an account, and fill in your details in the registration form.

Step 3: Hit “Register” and take note of your username and password. Now Login.

Step 4: Download the application form from the website Dashboard.

Step 5: The application must be properly completed and sent to the TSSCDC office in the applicant's area, together with the necessary paperwork.

Step 6: Proof of identity, proof of domicile, proof of age, proof of income, proof of educational background, a workable company plan or entrepreneurial idea, and a bank account number are among the necessary documents.

Step 7: The TSSCDC will carry out a feasibility analysis of the suggested business or entrepreneurial endeavour when the application has been received and validated.

Step 8: Following grant approval, the TSSCDC will transfer the money straight to the applicant's bank account.

Step 9: 10% of the project's cost must be contributed by the applicant; the remaining 90% will be covered by the grant.

Step 10: Additionally, the candidate must complete training in entrepreneurship, financial management, and other pertinent subjects.

Step 11: Regular progress reports must be sent to the TSSCDC by the applicant, and the success of the business or entrepreneurial endeavor will be tracked.
