A welfare government scheme launched by the government of West Bengal for 18-year-old women called Rupashree Prakalpa Scheme. The government will provide Rs 25,000 to each girl as part of the govt scheme , which will pay for her wedding. This will assist families suffering financial hardship when their daughter is married.

The Rupashree Prakalpa Scheme was initiated in West Bengal, India, by the state government in 2018, under which monetary assistance would be provided at one-time to economically disadvantaged families residing in the state who want to get their daughters married.The government scheme is an important initiative that aims to provide financial assistance to girls' families belonging to EwS , so that they can celebrate their daughter's marriage with dignity and without financial burden.

With important key features which allow adequate support and convenience in easy accessibility, the Sarkari Yojana encourages the eligible family for effortless aid in marriages related to the daughters for money or cash.
Beneficiaries must fill out an application form and submit it to local bodies or the Block Development Officer (BDO) before the marriage.
The govt scheme provides a financial grant of ₹25,000, which is deposited directly into the bank account of the girl before her marriage by the state government.
The scheme is available only to native residents of West Bengal with an annual family income of less than ₹1.5 lakh.

Any girl who proposes to get married and avail benefits of the scheme must meet the following criteria. Make sure to carefully read all of them to better understand the eligibility factor.
The applicants must have crossed the age of 18.
The girl must be unmarried till the date of applying for the scheme.
The proposed marriage is her first marriage.
The girl must have been born in West Bengal or she has been living in the state for the last 5 years or her parents are permanent citizens of West Bengal.
The income of the family from all sources must not be more than 1.5 lakh annually.
Girl’s proposed groom has attained the age of 21 years.
The applicant has an active bank account, and the girl is the sole account holder.
Although the Rupashree Prakalpa Scheme is targeted to provide financial assistance to the economically backward families of West Bengal, there are some exclusions to this state government scheme. Some of the major exclusions include:
This scheme is applicable only for families with an annual income of below or equal to Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Families whose annual income is above Rs. 1.5 lakhs are not eligible to apply for the govt scheme.
This govt scheme is applicable only for families with one or two daughters. The families who have more than two daughters are not eligible to apply for the scheme.
The scheme is available only for marriages that are solemnised within the state of West Bengal. Marriages outside the state are not covered by the scheme.
The beneficiaries of Rupashree Prakalpa Scheme must have undergone at least 10th standard or equivalent education. If she fails to do so, then the family would not qualify for drawing the benefits from the scheme.
The following steps can help you to understand the process better. It is important to note that the West Bengal Rupashree Prakalpa application form will be available online and offline.
The offline applications can be made if you collect the application form from the concerned Government offices. Procedures are as given below:
Step 1- The applicant must go to a neighboring municipal building, gram panchayat, block development officer (BDO), or sub-divisional officer (SDO).
Step 2- Following this, the applicant must pick up an application for the West Bengal Rupashree Prakalpa at the relevant office branch.
Step 3- The application form may also be accessed electronically from the program’s official website.
Step 4- At this point, complete all the essential fields and affix the appropriate files. Please complete the form and send it to the relevant branch and office.
Step 5- After receiving and verifying the application form, the receiving officer will give the applicant an acknowledgment slip that has been properly stamped and signed.
Step 6- The applicant’s bank account will receive the sanctioned sum through IFMS.
Step 7: At least five days before the applicant’s wedding, the transferred funds will be implemented.
Step 1- Visit the official website wbrupashree.gov.in.
Step 2- Download the "Rupashree Online Application Form" from the website.
Step 3- Fill out the form with necessary details and attach the required documents, such as address proof, income certificate, birth certificate, and proof of marriage.
Step 4- Submit the completed form at the appropriate government office, which could be the Block Development Office (BDO), Sub-Divisional Officers office, or Municipal Corporation office, depending on your residence.
The applicant must have a self-attested photocopies of the given documents mentioned below. Make sure all your documents are ready and up to date to apply for this govt marriage scheme.
A government-recognised certificate of completion of high school
The applicant must certify that she is not married, i.e., that she has never been wed.
A self-declared income certificate needs to be submitted together with the form.
Residents’ identification documents must be given, including Aadhaar, Pan, Ration, and voter ID cards.
A self-attested duplicate of the front page of the bank checkbook, where the account holder’s name, IFSC code, account number, bank address, and MICR number should be displayed, should be used to provide the beneficiary’s bank account information.
Photocopies of the groom’s birth certificate, Aadhaar card, voter ID cards, PAN cards, and Madhyamik admit cards can be used as proof of age.
The girl and her groom must be shown in a colored passport-size photo.

A new page will open on the screen where you can check your application status with help of your application ID and year.
Fill in the application ID and application year and press the submit button.
Once you click the submit button details of your application, your application status, and IFMS status will be visible on your screen.
