The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, implemented the PMMSY scheme to revolutionise the fisheries sector.
The government has an investment of Rs. 20,050 crores to develop the fisheries sector. PMSSY Yojana has been implemented in all the states and union territories for 5 years from FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25.

The application process of the Matsya Sampada Yojana is written below for one to follow:
For Centrally sponsored scheme- Please prepare and then submit a Detailed Project Report to the District Fisheries Officer of your respective state/UT. Ensure that it is made in accordance with the scheme's guidelines.
For Central sector scheme component of PMMSY- Please submit your proposals to the following address: 'Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, & Dairying, Government of India, Room no. 221, Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi, 110001'.
